MANCHESTER, Tenn. – Two middle school students in Coffee County were expelled after a gun was brought to school.
Coffee County Schools started an investigation on Monday after law enforcement was informed that a man reported one of his guns was missing. It was determined that the man's stepson has brought the gun to school and given it to another child.
The Director of Coffee County Schools told the Manchester Times the weapon was not meant to cause harm, but to exchange.
Both juveniles were charged with possession of a weapon on school property, and face automatic expulsion for one year.
