WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. - The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a deadly motorcycle crash Monday evening. The crash happened in the 7400 block of Lake Road in Fairview.
According to the THP, the crash involved the motorcycle and a Ford Mustang, and the motorcycle rider was killed. The driver of the Mustang was not injured.
A neighbor tried to help, but the motorcyclist died at the scene. "We came running out and the lady across the street is CPR-qualified. She tried to give CPR, but it was no help," said Don Buttrey, who witnessed the crash.
Buttrey said speeding is a big problem on the road. He said it's a popular shortcut for drivers since it connects Highways 100 and 96.
THP was investigating the cause of the crash.
