Woman Charged With DUI After Rear-Ending MNPD Cruiser

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A 20-year-old woman was charged with drunken driving after rear-ending a police officer.

Police said Oona Doyle slammed into the back of North Precinct Commander Terrence Graves' unmarked police vehicle that had stopped at red light at of Dr DB Todd Boulevard and Jackson Street early Friday morning.

Graves was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with minor injuries. He was treated and released.

Doyle, who police had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol, was unsteady on her feet. Police recovered an open bottle of Bloody Mary mix from her car. She was not injured. Doyle was taken to General Hospital for a mandatory blood test.

She was charged with DUI and underage drinking, and was freed on $9,000 bond.
