Professor Drives Across Country Without Gasoline

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- Saturday, a local professor is taking off on an incredible journey.

Dr. Cliff Ricketts from Middle Tennessee State University will be driving coast to coast using no gasoline.

He made the 2600 mile trip last year with a car that needed just over two gallons of gas. This time the fuel sources will be solar and hydrogen which was taken from water on MTSU's campus.

It'll take about five days to drive from Tybee Island, Georgia to Long Beach, California.
