NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A teenager was shot in a home invasion in south Nashville on Sunday night.

Police said three men, one armed with a shotgun, stormed into an apartment at the Amalie Point Apartments off Old Hickory Boulevard in South Nashville around 4 p.m. Sunday.

A 19-year-old who was at the apartment was shot in the stomach at close range during the robbery. 

He was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where surgery was performed. He was last listed in stable condition.

Police think he may have been targeted due to possible drug activity.

No arrests have been made.
