Police: Man Eats Drugs During Search At Jail

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said a drug suspect ate the evidence during a search at the jail.

Police said they had brought Clint Shields to jail on a crack cocaine charge. While he was being searched at the jail, a bag filled with a white powder fell out of his shoe.

Before police could grab it, Shields picked it up and swallowed it whole.

Along with the drug charge, he was charged with tampering with evidence.
