MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A woman has died from injuries sustained in a crash in Murfreesboro on Friday.

Murfreesboro Police said 51-year-old Bonnie Murry died Saturday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Murry was driving a Cadillac Deville on Medical Center Parkway around 1 p.m. Friday when she slowed down as if attempting to make a right turn. She began to turn onto Grantland Avenue when she made a sudden left turn, and was struck on the driver's side by a Ford F-250 pickup truck.

Fire and EMS had to extricate Murry from her car, and she was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt.

The second driver was not hurt. Police said they do not know what caused the crash, but do not anticipate any charges against the second driver. The crash remained under investigation.
