SUMMITVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has identified the woman whose body was found near an old rock quarry in Coffee County.
An autopsy found 51-year-old Connie Lou Brown, of McMinnville, died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Investigators believe she was killed somewhere else and dumped near the old rock quarry near Summitville Road in Summitville, where the body was found Saturday afternoon.
The TBI said her body was badly burned.
No arrests have been made in the case.
