Officer Avoids Injury When Golf Cart Falls Off Truck

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Metro Nashville Police officer avoided injury after a golf cart fell off a truck onto his police cruiser late Monday night.

Police said the truck was hauling golf carts along Interstate 24 east when one of the carts fell off and collided with the officer's cruiser just before the Shelby Avenue exit. It happened just before 11 p.m.

The officer was not hurt. His identity was not immediately released.
