NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police believe two overnight convenience store robberies may be connected.
The man was wearing a white rag over his face when he entered the Mapco on Elm Hill Pike around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. He demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint, and then fled the scene.
About an hour later, police believe he went to the Circle K at 2200 Nolensville Pike. Surveillance video showed him wearing a white bandana over his face and blue pants when he entered the store, and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. After getting the money, he made the clerk lay on the ground. He fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The amount of money taken from the robberies was not immediately known.
Police used K-9 units to track the robber, but were unable to locate him. It was unclear if he used a getaway car or fled on foot.
The robber is considered armed and dangerous.
