Police: Man Threw Molotov Cocktails At Home In Inglewood

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A house fire in Inglewood is being investigated as arson after a man was seen throwing two Molotov cocktails at the home.

Police said a neighbor saw the man throw the two homemade devices against the home on Inglewood Court around 3:30 a.m. Thursday. One of the fire bombs caught the house on fire, but firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly.

A firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The home suffered minimal damage. Three people inside the home were able to get out safely, and went to stay with relatives.

Police said the neighbor did not get a good look at the man, so no suspect description was available. It was unclear if the home was targeted or if it was a random crime.

The Fire Marshal and the Metro Hazardous Device Unit responded to the scene to investigate.

No arrests have been made.
