Brentwood Home Sustains Heavy Damage In Afternoon Fire

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Firefighters were called out to battle a house fire in Brentwood on Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out before 1:30 p.m. on Meadowlark Lane in the Country Club Estates.

Firefighters with the Brentwood Fire Department said they forced entry into the home. No one was in the house at the time of the blaze.

Some streets in the area were closed while fire crews worked to contain the flames.

Officials said the home would probably be a total loss.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
