Child Struck By Vehicle In Columbia

COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Emergency officials in Maury County confirmed a child was struck by a vehicle Friday night. The accident happened around 6:00 p.m. on West 12th Street near Rainey Street.

The victim was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The boy's identity and condition were not immediately released. No word on whether charges would be filed against the driver.
