NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been charged with a shooting at a south Nashville apartment complex on Friday night.

Noel Hernandez-Vasquez, 18, was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting at Prestige Pointe apartments on Paragon Mills Road.

Police said the victim, 18-year-old Gustavo Valencia-Gonzalez, was walking through the apartment complex where Hernandez-Vasquez lives around 9:30 p.m. Friday when Hernandez-Vasquez got out of a black SUV carrying a handgun. He allegedly told the victim "I heard you're looking for me," and then opened fire.

Valencia-Gonzalez was struck in the arm, leg, and foot. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Police said the pair were acquaintances, but did not release a motive for the shooting.

Hernandez-Vasquez was booked on $150,000 bond.
