CADIZ, Ky. - A baby was found alive hours after a deadly crash that claimed the life of his great-grandmother. The crash happened Thursday in Cadiz, Kentucky.
Police said family members became concerned when 63-year-old Wendy Cain didn't return home after running errands. Crews searched several roadways in the area before finally finding the vehicle about eight hours later in a hard-to-see spot.
Investigators believe Cain overcorrected and hit a tree before the vehicle came to rest below the road.
Cain was killed in the crash. 10-month old Dakota was found alive in the backseat of the car. The baby was virtually untouched and still in his car seat.
