Two Taken To Hospital After Fire At Bellevue Home

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Firefighters pulled a man from a burning home in Bellevue on Thursday morning.

The fire broke out around 7 a.m. Thursday on Cross Timbers Drive. The smoke alarm alerted a woman inside the home about the fire, but her husband was asleep upstairs.

She was able to get out and call 911, but could not get to her husband.

Firefighters were able to get him outside, and paramedics had to resuscitate him because he had gone into cardiac arrest from smoke inhalation. The victim along with his wife were taken to the hospital. No identities were released.

Sky 5 HD showed smoke coming from the roof, and firefighters working to fight the fire from inside.

Fire investigators found the cause of the fire to be accidental. They said it was started by an overloaded electrical outlet in an upstairs room.
