Ten Commandments Billboards Appear in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Driving around Nashville, they're not hard to spot -- billboards listing the Ten Commandments.

It's part of a national effort started by the CEO of the conservative political web site World Net Daily.  You can find the billboards along West End and Harding Place.

But religious leaders in Nashville are questioning whether that's the best way to get the message across.

"If it were just a matter of putting up a billboard, I would say ‘right on,' but the fact is we need a change in heart, a change in attitude," said Edwin Sanders with the Metropolitan Interdenominational Church.  "We need a change in the way we look at and see the issues going on around us every day ."

The same person paying for the Ten Commandments billboards here in Nashville is also paying for several of the same billboards along the Las Vegas strip.
