NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police want to find a man and a woman who they said stabbed a 75-year-old man overnight in the Joelton area.

Police said the pair forced their way inside the victim's home on Boyd Drive around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, and then forced the man inside the vehicle. They drove the victim about five miles away from his home to a location in the 4000 block of Whites Creek Pike.

They kicked the 75-year-old man out the vehicle. At some point, the victim had been stabbed in the neck. The man, whose identity was not released, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The suspects then drove back to his home on Boyd Drive, where police were waiting. However, they were able to get away on foot.

The victim's wallet was found on the ground.
