NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Crews are working to repair The Waverly Family Clinic after a severe storm ripped through the clinic back in January.

"Initially we thought we had a little roof damage, but then you get inside and you see what all was actually affected and it's a bigger job than you thought," said clinic director Crystal Carey.

There was debris everywhere, drooping tiles and insulation, and extensive water damage to eight of the clinics' 10 exam rooms.

"Tons of staff came and moved boxes," Carey said. "We've had everyone jump in and help out."

Patients have had to visit other clinics within the United Neighborhood family while the work was being done.

They're on schedule to open the doors once again, knowing just how important it is to the community.

"When we're not here, we want to be open," Carey said. "We want to be here for our patients."

The clinic is scheduled to reopen April 22.
