NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A woman has been charged with child endangerment after she crashed into another vehicle, and police found her 2-year-old daughter was not in a car seat.

A police affidavit said 22-year-old Megan Banks had her daughter in the backseat of the car when she crashed just before 6 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Brick Church Pike and Briley Parkway.

When police questioned her, she admitted to driving her daughter without any child safety restraints, which by law she must have.

Police later discovered Banks also had an outstanding felony warrant for aggravated child neglect and a suspended license.

She was charged with multiple offenses including child endangerment. Banks was held on $37,000 bond.
