86-Year-Old Man's Body Discovered In Brush Fire

ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. - Police called the death of a man in a brush fire in Robertson County on Thursday a freak accident.

The brush fire started around 2:45 p.m. near a home at Cedar Grove Road and Yates Road in Cross Plains.

The body of an 86-year-old man was found near the fire. The man lived by himself at the home. Police said he had medical problems and couldn't get away from the fire. He died at the scene.

Police described it as a freak accident. The man's family has been notified. He has not been identified.
