Franklin Man Killed In Early Morning Crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Franklin man was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 North near Old Hickory Boulevard Sunday morning. The man has been identified Stan Garland, 58.

Garland was driving a 2004 Kia sedan north on Interstate 65 when the vehicle traveled off the interstate shortly after 6:00 a.m. and struck a concrete median. The car then reentered the roadway, crossed all lanes of traffic and struck a rock bluff.

Garland, who was wearing his seat belt, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. There was no evidence of alcohol use at the scene.
