Eastbound Lanes Of SR-46 Forced Shut Due To Overturned Crane

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The eastbound lanes on State Route 46 in Williamson County were shut down due to an overturned crane on the roadway Monday.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation said the wreck happened just before 2 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 96 on mile marker 11.5.

Crews on the scene said a crane has overturned and the road will be closed off to get the crane back on the roadway and upright.

Westbound traffic was affected with possible delays as emergency officials worked to clear up the incident.

Transportation officials said they expect to have the roadway open by 8 p.m. Monday.

The cause of the wreck was not known. No word if any injuries were involved.
