ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A Robertson County bail bondsman has been charged with conspiring to steal from a local Walmart.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested 48-year-old Terry Conn, of Springfield, on Monday night after he was indicted by the Robertson County grand jury last month on one count of conspiracy to commit theft of property.

An investigation revealed Conn was seen on video loading a shopping cart and walking away from it inside the Walmart in Springfield in February 2012. Another individual, who was already arrested for the theft, then walked the shopping cart outside the store and loaded the merchandise into a truck.

The TBI said the two later exchanged the merchandise in the parking lot behind Freebird Bonding, where Conn worked.

Additional video showed Conn attempting to commit the same crime the day before the incident.

Conn was released from the Robertson County after posting $5,000 bond.
