Police: Man Attacked For Second Time In Year

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said a man was attacked by the same person for the second time in a year in response to the previous attack.

According to an affidavit, the victim told police he was driving down Old Harding Road over the weekend when he pulled over so some fire trucks could go by. He said he noticed a vehicle make a U-turn and start to follow him.

When he pulled over again just up the road, he said the car did the same, and the driver got out of the car.

The driver, identified as Quyen Nguyen, walked up to his the victim's car, began swinging at him and tried to grab his steering wheel so he couldn't drive off.

The victim was able to get away, but Nguyen followed him all the way back to his home where police were already on the way. Nguyen was arrested and charged with aggravated assault

This wasn't the first time Nguyen was arrested on aggravated assault charges against the victim. The affidavit said Nguyen told police he was not happy with how a preliminary hearing went from a case in 2012, where he was charged with aggravated assault against the same victim.
