Toddler Alerts Woman To Intruder Inside Clarksville Home

Posted: Updated:

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A toddler alerted a woman to an intruder inside their home in Clarksville on Tuesday night.

Police said the 25-year-old mother of two had opened the back door of her home on Parkview Drive to allow her dogs to go outside, and then went to the bathroom. She then heard her toddler say "hi," and ran into the kitchen area where she found the child and a male standing beside the kitchen table.

The woman grabbed the child and an infant, and then ran next door to a neighbor's home on Parkview Drive to call 911.

The intruder was gone by the time police arrived, and nothing was taken from the home. Police were unable to lift fingerprints from the scene.

The victim told police she had never seen the intruder before, and had no idea why he was inside her home.

No arrests have been made.
