NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Three teenagers were arrested for two attempted burglaries in south Nashville.

Police were called to a burglary in progress on Brentridge Circle late Wednesday night. It appeared the burglars were scared off when they realized the resident was at home.

The victim provided a description of the suspects and their direction of flight on Bell Road.

Officers spotted two teens who matched the description, and took them into custody without incident. The victim identified 18-year-old Anthony Lamont St. John and 19-year-old Romante Jimenez as the two burglars.

Police said the pair admitted to another attempted break-in at 10:30 p.m. at an Arbor Ridge Drive apartment where an alarm prevented them from entering the home.

A third suspect, a 16-year-old, was taken into custody around 3:45 a.m. Thursday. Police said he also admitted his involvement, and was charged with attempted burglary in Juvenile Court.

Jimenez and St. John were charged with two counts of attempted aggravated burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. They were held in lieu of $55,500 bond each.
