Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A house in Madison was damaged by fire on Friday afternoon.

The house in the 100 block of Myatt Drive was fully involved when fire crews first got on the scene around 1 p.m. Smoke was pouring out of the windows and video from Sky 5 HD showed flames had ripped a hole in the roof.

No one was home when the fire started, but pets inside the home were rescued. The Red Cross responded to help the family.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, but officials said it most likely started in the kitchen.
