SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn -- The Sumner County Sheriff's office said three people were arrested for making meth in a barn outside of Portland.

The Sheriff's office said an alert neighbor saw someone carrying big bottles of chemicals into a barn Saturday afternoon.

When police responded around 2:30 p.m., they found three people inside making meth.

Neighbors said even though it's difficult to believe the news, they say they noticed some traffic going near the barn in the last few days.

"You can see where people dump stuff and everything," said neighbor Chuck Allen.  "I thought it was kids being nosy or people moonlighting or something."

The Sumner County Sheriff's office said a truck from the Tennessee Methamphetamine and Pharmaceutical Task Force had to be called in to help with the bust.
