Motorcyclist Dies After Crash In East Nashville Overnight

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A woman was killed after being thrown from her motorcycle in a crash overnight in east Nashville.

Police said 55-year-old Jennifer Mosey, of Fairwin Avenue, was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Dickerson Pike around 11:20 p.m. Sunday when a Cadillac Escalade traveling north attempted to make a left turn in front of her. The driver, 62-year-old John Donaldson, of Crouch Drive, told police that he did not see the motorcycle.

Mosey was unable to stop in time, and collided with the front passenger side of the Cadillac. She was knocked off the motorcycle.

Mosey was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she passed away around 3:25 a.m. Monday.

Police said there was no indication either driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Their preliminary investigation showed the cause of the crash to be Donaldson's failure to yield. Police said charges were pending the conclusion of the investigation and review by the District Attorney's office.
