NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The explosions during the Boston Marathon really hit home with Leslie Mosier. The Belmont University student said she immediately knew she needed to do something to help.

Mosier has run the Music City Marathon in Nashville twice before, and she plans on running it again on April 27.

The news of what happened in Boston really took a toll on her.

"I was in class and I went to the bathroom and cried," Mosier said.

Then the 20-year-old decided she needed to do something to help Boston and to show the people that Nashville are thinking of them during this tragedy.

"I know when there are natural disasters people raise money for foundations and I thought maybe I could raise a little money to run for the marathon and raise some money for the Red Cross," Mosier explained.

She started a page on an Internet donation web site where people can give any amount of money. She will send all that she raises to the American Red Cross in Boston.

When Mosier laces up for the Country Music Marathon, she said security will be on her mind.

"It's scary, it's definitely an issue. I don't think anyone should have to be scared about the moment they cross the finish line. It's one of the most amazing feelings in the world," Mosier said.

Mosier is also writing "Run for Boston" on her arm with a Sharpie on marathon day. She hopes all runners will do that, to show solidarity for the runners in Boston.
