NASHVILLE, Tenn. --  The brother-in-law of Paul Shoulders, a man who police said died after Robert Todd Harrell, a member of the rock band Three Doors Down, clipped Shoulders' truck on Interstate 40 late Friday night, spoke to NewsChannel 5 Sunday.

Mickey Baltz describes Shoulders as a man who loved to drag race on various local strips around middle Tennessee, and loved his race car.

Harrell admitted to drinking and taking prescription drugs before getting behind the wheel and hitting Paul Shoulders truck.

"First, you want to point fingers and you want to say it wasn't Paul's fault, somebody caused this accident, and to then say somebody was under the influence of whatever it was -- alcohol and drugs -- it makes you angry," said Baltz.

Police said Paul Shoulders was not wearing a seatbelt.
Harrell is charged with Vehicular Homicide.
