Doughty, McNeal Star In Hilltopper Spring Game

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Brandon Doughty connected with Willie McNeal on three touchdown passes Saturday as Western Kentucky's Red Team beat the Hilltopper White Team 42-3 at Houchens-Smith Stadium.

Doughty finished 23-of-35 for 314 yards with five touchdowns and one interception as WKU wrapped up its first spring period under coach Bobby Petrino.

McNeal caught seven passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns for the Red Team, which consisted of the Hilltoppers' first-team offense and defense.

Former Elizabethtown High School standout Mitchell Henry hauled in six passes for 94 yards and two Red Team touchdowns.

The Red Team's Antonio Andrews had a game-high 83 rushing yards on 14 carries.

Red Team defensive back Cam Thomas recorded two interceptions.
