Lower Bond Refused For Brentwood Man Accused Of Killing Wife

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - New information was released about the man accused of killing his wife in an exclusive Brentwood neighborhood, including what police found in his car.

A judge refused to reduce Randolph Maidens' $2.5 million bond. This after District Attorney General Kim Helper argued the cash found in his car and the lack of family he has in the area suggest he may have run.

"During the execution of the search warrant, Brentwood Police Department did discover a substantial amount of cash in his vehicle, and also he does not appear to have any knowledge of any family members locally in this area, and my concern with that in my perspective, makes him a flight risk," said Helper.

Maiden was said to have mentioned he would need to get in touch with family and gather resources for an attorney.

Court documents revealed more of Maidens' financial situation in an affidavit following his arrest, where Maidens listed he makes $3,000 a week with a company Dendreon and that he has $70,000 in a checking account and more than $200,000 dollars in a 401K.

NewsChannel 5 spoke to a representative from Dendreon, the biotech company Maidens listed as his employer. The company released this statement:

"We extend our sympathies and thoughts to the victim's family surrounding this tragic event. While we don't typically comment on personnel matters, the person in question is no longer an employee of Dendreon."

Funeral arrangements have been set for Rachael Maidens.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at Saint Matthews Catholic Church on Sneed Road at 10:00 am.

Her family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Saint Matthews Catholic Church.
