Man Sentenced To 75 Years In Prison For 2011 Home Invasion

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was sentenced to 75 years in prison after being convicted in a November 2011 home invasion and rape of a child.

In March, a jury found Olbin Euceda guilty of one count of rape of a child, four counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, and one count of aggravated robbery.

Police said Euceda approached a woman who was unloading groceries from her car in her Bell Road apartment parking lot on November 20, 2011. He forced the woman into her apartment at gunpoint, and then he and an accomplice stole electronics, jewelry and cash from the family. The parents were tied up, and police said Euceda forced their 11-year old daughter into a bedroom, where she was sexually assaulted.

Euceda will serve his sentence at 100 percent.

Euceda's co-defendant Rony Sorto is scheduled to go on trial in August on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery. Both men face numerous additional felony charges related to other home invasions and attacks in the South Nashville area during the fall of 2011.
