FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Thousands of food donations come into the Graceworks charity each week, but tucked away in a corner of the warehouse is an indication of how tough things are for some new moms in Williamson County.

"I know a lot of times people think Williamson County as not needing a lot of assistance but there are struggling and that go hungry," explained Kristi Sylvester who helps oversee donations for the organization.

Non-perishables fill most of the shelves here but an entire section is now dedicated to diapers as the Graceworks is also Williamson County's official "diaper bank."

"We give them to anyone who needs them," Kristi added.

The idea was started by a local mom a few years ago and the need has been so great it's taken off recently.

"Even if you work two jobs it's hard to afford everything," said Carolena Burgess who has two 8-month-old twins and also uses the diaper bank.

"God bless this program," she added.
