NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An accused teen burglar trying to hide from police was nabbed by a Metro police K-9 dog.

Police said the 16-year-old skipped school after third period Thursday, and then went to burglarize a home on Watsonwood Drive. The homeowner arrived home, screamed, and the teen ran away.

A witness followed the teen to the 500 block of Brewer Drive, where canine officer Robert Collins and his K-9 partner Aengus found the teen under a storage shed.

They found a laptop computer and change taken from the victim's home in nearby bushes.

The 16-year-old was booked at juvenile detention on charges of aggravated burglary, felony theft and resisting arrest.
