Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An accused serial burglar was arrested after police said he targeted two nonprofits.

Johnny Parsons was charged with multiple burglaries over the course of a week. Police said he was caught on surveillance tape breaking into the Ed Lindsey Industries for the Blind. He was accused of stealing more than $500 worth of items, including an iPhone, Sirius XM Radio and a bunch of clothes.

Police said he later broke into the McDonald's on Charlotte Avenue by throwing a rock through the glass door. He then allegedly took money out of the register, and then stole all of the funds from the Ronald McDonald charity boxes.

Police believe he also broke into and stole from several other businesses in the area by breaking in through doors or windows.

Parsons was identified through surveillance video.

Officers spotted him carrying a vacuum cleaner he stole from Ed Lindsey Industries for the Blind.
