Man Charged In Double Shooting In Parking Lot

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been arrested in connection with a double shooting outside a business in the Melrose area last week.

Johnathan Dyer, 22, was charged Tuesday night with two counts of attempted criminal homicide. Police said the two victims were able to identify Dyer in a lineup.

According to an arrest warrant, one of the victims got into a fight with Dyer inside the Melrose Billiards early in the morning of April 24. They were kicked out of the business, but continued fighting in the parking lot.

The affidavit said Dyer pulled out a gun, but the victims convinced him to put it away. When they were trying to leave, police said Dyer pulled the gun back out and shot one of them. While the other victim was trying to help his friend, Dyer allegedly shot him too.

The victims drove themselves to the hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
