6 tablespoons butter
1 cup self-rising flour
1 3/4 cups sugar, divided
1/4 cup plus 1 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa, divided
1/2 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups boiling water
