HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – With flood warnings predicted for the weekend, many flooding victims fear what the weather will bring.

Pamela Gentry said she is worried about the damage the next three days could bring.

"I can't focus. I mean, I've made mistakes, but I have work for some really good people and they know what I am going through," said Gentry.

She said if it floods in her Hendersonville neighborhood this weekend it will be the 7th time in 15 years.

"It's a nightmare. You don't sleep because you never know when the water will come into your house." we've been lucky so far that it hasn't, but it's come within inches," she said.

The problem comes from an overflow of water from Drakes Creek behind their homes.

"What it does is it floods my unit every time. You can see the water line where it goes across the system and it scares my kids to death," said flooding victim Mike Horton.

Horton, who has also dealt with flooding, said his air unit is his third in less than a decade.

"It was replaced just like everything else, but it will be replaced again," said Horton.

To prevent flooding similar to the historic flood of 2010, the city of Hendersonville said there is $600,000 allotted towards drainage and the project is in the design phase now.
