Clarksville Police Investigate Attempted Kidnapping

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating an alleged attempted kidnapping of an 11-year-old boy.

The incident happened Wednesday morning in the Paradise Hill Road and Hietts Lane area. The victim told police a man jumped out from the bushes and attempted to pull him into a minivan.

The young boy was able to escape after hitting the man in the head with a stick, police said.

The boy described the suspect as a white, male in his late 20s or early 30s with freckles and red hair. He was wearing a black sleeveless shirt and blue jeans. The suspect also reportedly had a dragon tattoo on his arm.

The vehicle involved was described as a green minivan with a pointed front and hatchback-style rear.
