MANCHESTER, Tenn. - A Coffee County high school student is facing criminal charges after video shows her attacking another student in the hallway between classes.

"It was outrageous," said Tina Baltimore, the victim's mother.

It happened last Friday just after first period in a hallway crowded with students.

The video shows a student zeroing in on her target and attacking without warning where the attacker grabs fellow freshman Beronica Dinovo by the hair and throws her to the ground.

"I was just having a conversation with a friend and she pulled my hair and started punching me," said Dinovo.

The student shooting the video then posted it on Facebook for all to see including Dinovo's mother.

"It made me sick to my stomach and made me irate. It made me want to pull this kid and beat her myself," said Baltimore about what happened to her daughter.

Other students stood around watching for more than 30 seconds before teachers arrived to intervene.

The victim was not seriously injured.

The suspect was suspended for three days and the school SRO has filed a juvenile petition seeking an criminal assault charge.

The victim's mother is also seeking a restraining order to keep the suspect away from her daughter at school.
