HEALTH:  As we celebrate the 1-year anniversary of Meryll's recovery from a brain aneurysm, we want to remind you of some important health information.  The American Stroke Association says you can help educate people on the signs of stroke and how to act F.A.S.T. with immediate medical attention, you may be able to lower the risk of disability, and death.

F = FACE ; Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

A = ARMS ; Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

S = SPEECH ; Ask the person to repeat a simple sentence. Does the speech sound slurred or strange? T = TIME ; If you observe any of these signs, it's time to call 911 or get to the nearest hospital. For more info check out www.strokeassociation.org.
