Good Samaritan Winds Up In Line Of Fire After Robbery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Good Samaritan who witnessed a robbery wound up in the line of fire as the robbers made their getaway.

It happened around 9 p.m. Thursday night at the Auto Zone on Murfreesboro Pike.

A witness said he saw four men rob the clerks while he was in the drive through at the Arby's next door. He moved closer --hoping to get a license plate number-- and tried to block the path of the getaway car.

He said that's when one of the robbers opened fire, and the gas tank of his vehicle was hit. Gas spilled all over the parking lot.

Fortunately, the man was not hurt.

The robbers fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, and no arrests have been made.
