RECIPE # 5006 - DREAMSICLE PIE & BUTTERFINGER PIE - Mon. May 20, 2013

DREAMSICLE PIE 
 
1 (.15-oz) pkg  orange Kool-Aid or orange flavored drink mix

1 (8-oz) pkg Neufchatel cream cheese, softened

1 (14-oz) can fat free sweetened condensed milk

1 (8-oz) container reduced fat frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 (15-oz) can mandarin orange sections, drained and reserve at least 3 orange pieces

1 (6-oz) chocolate cookie crust or reduced fat graham cracker crust

Place Kool-aid mix, softened cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk and whipped topping in a large bowl; beat until smooth.  Add mandarin orange sections and beat slightly.  Pour into crust and chill.  Garnish with a few remaining orange sections and mint leaf or chocolate candy.  Yield:  8-10 servings.

 

BUTTERFINGER PIE

1 (8-oz) pkg Neufchatel cream cheese, softened

1 (14-oz) can fat free sweetened condensed milk

1 (8-oz) container reduced fat frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 cup Butterfinger candy bars, crushed or crumbled, reserve 1 tablespoon for garnish (about 1 ½ pkg of a 3.9-oz pkg

1 (6-oz) reduced fat graham cracker crust or chocolate crust

 Place cream cheese, milk and whipped topping in a mixing bowl and beat until smooth.  Stir in candy and pour into a pie crust.  Chill and serve.  Garnish with reserved candy crumbs.  Yield:  8-10 servings.
