Police: Siblings Killed In Kentucky Car Crash

Posted: Updated:

COX'S CREEK, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police said two siblings were killed and three other people injured when a car and a truck collided in Nelson County.

Trooper Norm Chaffins said 22-year-old Amaris E. Blair from Cox's Creek and her brother, 23-year-old Jonathan Blair died Saturday night when their 2002 Volkswagen Jetta struck a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 37-year-old Christopher Greer of Bardstown on KY 245.

Chaffins said the Blairs were pronounced dead at the scene.

Chaffins said the Jetta lost control and spun into the path of Greer's truck. Chaffins said alcohol appears to have been a factor in Amaris Blair losing control of the car and toxicology tests are pending for both drivers.

Greer and two passengers in his truck sustained non-life threatening injuries.
