Witness Helps Lead To Quick Arrest Of Burglary Suspect

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A burglary suspect was quickly taken into custody after witness saw him trying to breaking into a south Nashville apartment on Monday afternoon.

An officer spotted 26-year-old Alando Johnson walking away from the victim's apartment on Blue Lake Circle, and took him into custody. Police said the door and door frame of the apartment had obvious pry marks and chips of white paint had been knocked loose.

Police said Johnson had a screwdriver with white paint chips on it in his possession, as well as a pair of gloves in his pocket.

Johnson was charged with attempted aggravated burglary and possession.
