Georgia Men Charged In Undercover Drug Operation At Cookeville Motel

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Two Georgia men were charged after an undercover operation in Cookeville netted marijuana, money, and a weapon.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested 31-year-old Andrae Peter-Neil Aarons and 43-year-old Mohamed Basiro Danso on charges of trafficking a Schedule VI drug for resale between 10 and 70 pounds.

The two men were arrested around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of a motel located on Jefferson Street in Cookeville. TBI agents seized 31 pounds of marijuana packaged in brick form, $9,750 in cash and a .40 caliber pistol.

Aarons and Danso were booked into the Putnam County Jail on $200,000 bond.

The Cookeville Police Department- CNet team, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and Middle Tennessee HIDTA task force assisted in the arrests.
