MADISON, Tenn. – Police said two men are charged and a third is wanted in connection with a robbery outside of Walgreens in Madison Tuesday night.

Detectives said a woman's purse was snatched while she was at the Red Box movie rental kiosk in front of the Walgreens at 627 Gallatin Pike at 10:30 p.m.

Two men reportedly grabbed her purse, and when she did not let go, one of the suspects punched the victim in the head, police said.

The suspects were reportedly picked up in a 2000 white Toyota Camry driven by convicted robber 25-year-old Tommy Lee Lawrence.

Police said the getaway car then hit another vehicle at the intersection of Gallatin Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard. All three suspects then took off on foot.

Officers in the area quickly captured Lawrence and 20-year-old Clifton Gooch who both live at an apartment complex on Meadowcreek Circle in Goodlettsville.

Gooch was charged with robbery and was being held on a $10,000 bond.

Lawrence, who had previous convictions for robbery, was charged with robbery, leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license. He was being held on a $15,500 bond.

Investigators said the third suspect, who allegedly punched the victim, is described as a black man in his late teens or 20s, about 5'7" tall and weighs about 145 lbs.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
